Maths Curriculum Year-by Year

Mathematics is an interconnected and creative discipline that has continued to develop over centuries, providing answers to some of history's intriguing problems.  It is essential to everyday life, critical to science, technology and engineering, and necessary for financial literacy and most forms of employment.  A high quality education in mathematics provides a foundation for understanding the world, the ability to reason mathematically, an appreciation of the beauty and power of mathematics, and a sense of enjoyment and curiosity about the subject.

We use White Rose Maths at Lawn to teach mathematics using their materials to support teaching and learning.  Please refer to the documents below to gain an insight to the maths curriculum by year and key expectations for each year.

White Rose Maths is currently redeveloping their maths scheme.  New content will become available from June 2022.  Below are the new characters the children will become familiar with over the year.
