Parent workshops are not only crucial for building supportive communities and strengthening the bond between educators and families, but also for promoting positive parenting practices such as fostering positive parent - child relationships.
If parents / carers are well equipped with the knowledge and tools on how to support their children academically, socially and emotionally, and how to navigate the complexities of parenting, then their children are far more likely to be successful and achieve well in school and at home.
The intention and hope of the workshops are that parents / carers get to practice some easy and fun brain-building activities that they can incorporate into their daily routine at home.
APPROACHABLE & GENUINE
We want parents / carers to feel that we're celebrating their role as a parent / carer and supporting them.
AUTHENTIC
Reflecting the realities of parenthood, including that parent's / carers lives are busy, can be complicated and have their highs and lows.
NON-JUDGEMENTAL & STRENGTH BASED
We will be celebrating the amazing jobs that parents / carers are already doing and the huge impact they have on their children's development.
On completion of the four workshops, you will receive a certificate of participation that will evidence your attendance, learning and achievements.
Certification indicates a certain level of training and expertise in a given field and will enhance your C.V. (Curriculum Vitae) should you apply for future employment in working with children and young people.
