UPDATE FROM MRS WILSON ON THE CURRENT SCHOOL CLOSURE FOLLOWING MEETING TO DISCUSS PROGRESS WITH THE CLEAN UP OF THE SCHOOL DUE TO THE MAJOR FIRE AT PORTLANDS BUILDING

I'm pleased to report that the school has been cleared to a very high standard. However, some equipment still needs to be removed and I have requested additional air testing in all rooms to provide complete reassurance to our parents, carers and staff that the school can safely re-open.

Given this, I am sorry to say that the school will remain closed Thursday 6th November and Friday 7th November.

We know this will be disappointing news to some but the health and safety of children and staff is of paramount importance - even when risks are considered low.

Our children will continue with remote learning using Class Dojo and I will further update you on Friday 7th November when I very much hope I can confirm we will be fully re-opening on Monday. I will share more information and an FAQs from Kent County Council then.
