Admission during the school year
If you are looking to request admission to or transfer between schools during the school year, you will need to apply to the school directly.
From 1st September 2026, Kent Admissions are introducing a new digital form for In Year admissions that will be replacing the old paper form. This is to align with current Coordinated Admissions and existing Fair Access processes around applications including providing improved data to schools and giving parents an efficient and updated approach to applying.
Families who have completed the current paper based form over the summer will still be processed in the usual way and will not be asked to submit an online application.
PLEASE NOTE: From 1st October 2026, paper copies of the IYAF will not be accepted and parents will be asked to complete an online application.
The new In Year Application form (IYAF) can be found here, and will be available on the Kent Admissions website: www.kent.gov.uk/inyearadmission
Once you have completed your online application form, it will be sent to the school directly for processing in the usual way. You will hear from us within 10-15 school days.
