Admission to Lawn Primary School during the school year
If you are looking to request admission to or transfer between schools during the school year, you will need to apply to the school directly using the In Year Admission Form. For further information, click here.
Applications for a reception class place for September 2026
Children born between 1st September 2021 and 31st August 2022 will be due to start reception in September 2026 and you will need to apply for your child's place. The online application process opens on Friday 7th November 2025 and will close on Thursday 15th January 2026 and can only be made online. Go to www.kent.gov.uk/primaryadmissions to register and apply.
You can apply for up to 3 schools:
- Put the schools in order of preference.
- It’s in your best interest to list 3 schools; naming only one school does not guarantee your child a place at that school or give your child priority for a place over another child.
- You are not able to name the same school more than once.
National Offer Day is 16th April 2026 and you will receive an email naming the school that your child has been offered.

What happens after you get your school offer

How to apply for a place at Lawn Primary School
SCHOOL TOURS
We warmly welcome prospective parents to visit Lawn Primary School and join one of our school tours. It is a lovely way to get a feel for our school and see the children. All applicants will be asked to attend a tour prior to joining the school.
You will meet with a member of our Senior Leadership Team who will be happy to show you around our school and answer any questions that you may have.
Nursery Admissions
The Nursery Unit (Bonsai Class) at Lawn Primary School can offer 15 hours or 30 hours of free childcare. Children can be admitted immediately after their third birthday, subject to space. Please pop into the office to collect an admission pack. Early applications are welcome.
